Daily routines
เป้าหมาย: ใช้ phrasal verbs ที่พบทุกวัน เช่น wake up, get up, put on, turn off ได้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ และเข้าใจตำแหน่งของกรรม
Phrasal verb คือกริยาที่มีคำเล็ก ๆ อย่าง up, off, on, out ตามมา แล้วความหมายเปลี่ยนไปจากกริยาเดิม เช่น get แปลว่าได้รับ แต่ get up แปลว่าลุกจากเตียง เจ้าของภาษาใช้ phrasal verbs ในชีวิตประจำวันมากกว่าคำศัพท์ทางการ คนที่พูดว่า “I extinguished the light.” จะฟังแปลกกว่าคนที่พูดว่า “I turned off the light.”
wake up กับ get up ต่างกัน wake up คือตื่น (ลืมตา) ส่วน get up คือลุกขึ้นจากเตียง คนจำนวนมากตื่นแล้วยังไม่ลุก จึงพูดได้ว่า “I woke up at 6 but didn't get up until 6:30.”
phrasal verbs หลายตัวแยกได้ คือวางกรรมไว้ตรงกลางได้ เช่น turn off the TV หรือ turn the TV off แต่ถ้ากรรมเป็นสรรพนาม (it, them) ต้องวางไว้ตรงกลางเสมอ เช่น turn it off ห้ามพูดว่า turn off it

การเรียนและการสอบฟรี
Study and exams
เป้าหมาย: ใช้ phrasal verbs และคำปรากฏร่วม (collocations) เกี่ยวกับการเรียน เช่น look up, catch up, hand in, take an exam, make progress
collocations เรื่องการสอบที่คนไทยมักสับสน ได้แก่ take an exam (เข้าสอบ) pass an exam (สอบผ่าน) และ fail an exam (สอบตก) คำว่า “I will exam tomorrow.” ผิด เพราะ exam เป็นคำนาม ต้องพูดว่า “I will take an exam tomorrow.”
phrasal verbs ที่ใช้ในการเรียนบ่อย คือ look up (ค้นหาความหมาย) catch up (ตามให้ทัน) hand in (ส่งงาน) go over (ทบทวน) และ figure out (คิดให้ออก)
